YOUR ROLE AT SKANESTAS
We are seeking a Data Scientist/ Quantitative Analyst who will play a huge role in our expanding core team. The ideal candidate will easily collaborate with team members, generate innovative ideas, rapidly test hypotheses, and contribute to the development of trading algorithms.
YOU WILL
- Key requirement: ability to launch profitable trading strategy that includes, but not limits to the following:
- Test and implement trading/statistical models, algorithms andsignals in an active trading environment;
- Conduct research and statistical analysis in order to build and refine trading systems;
- Perform in-depth analysis and research of various market inefficiencies. Carrying out data mining and in-depth statistical analysis of data;
- Provide results in the form of reports and presentations accompanied by tables and visual aids to team members;
- Work and participate in team research projects.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
- Native or bilingual proficiency in Russian.
- Intermediate proficiency in English.
- Higher education in statistics, mathematics, econometrics or computer science;
- Practical experience in a Data Scientist/ Quantitative Analyst position in a fintech company for at least 3 years. Experience in an environment related to data research with real-world application in stock trading;
- Strong analytical background and quantitative skills;
- Good knowledge of probability and statistics;
- Python/ Scala programming level: Middle+ (experience related to data analysis);
- Responsibility, autonomy and proactivity;
- Experience as Financial Quantitative Analyst, or in a related role performing quantitative analysis will be a plus.
